Job Description
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer/Architect to design, build, and harden a cloud-native, immutable evidence platform on Azure. The platform will ingest compliance artifacts, audit evidence, and control attestations from various internal and third-party systems through APIs, securely store them with cryptographic integrity, and provide querying and retrieval capabilities for GRC and audit workflows.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Azure, APIM, Terraform, Python, Node.js, NoSQL/Cosmos DB, GitHub/Azure DevOps, and event-driven architectures, along with a solid understanding of cloud security and compliance requirements such as PCI-DSS, SOX, and GLBA.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement API ingestion pipelines using Azure API Management, including OAuth2/JWT validation, rate limiting, XML policies, and schema enforcement.
- Build event-driven workflows using Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions, including durable and fan-out patterns.
- Implement immutable storage using Azure Blob Storage WORM policies and Cosmos DB for tamper-evident metadata.
- Design and manage Cosmos DB/NoSQL databases and Redis caching solutions.
- Integrate Azure Key Vault for envelope encryption, customer-managed keys, key rotation, and purge protection.
- Develop comprehensive telemetry using Azure Log Analytics and KQL for operational monitoring, alerting, audit trails, and integrity verification.
- Develop Terraform IaC for Azure infrastructure with policy-as-code and CI/CD integration.
- Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
- Develop Python and Node.js solutions for automation, integrations, and platform services.
- Integrate third-party APIs, including GRC platforms, vulnerability scanners, and ticketing systems.
- Apply zero-trust architecture using Private Endpoints, VNet integration, NSGs, and UDRs.
- Perform integrated testing and validate platform functionality, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering, security, compliance, and business teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, or a related field.
