Project overview: This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest global investment management firms. Our client is currently on a digital transformation journey and requires a talented individual to join Global DevOps team.
- Responsibilities: Partner with technology leadership to define DevOps capabilities and processes
- Maintain workload using an agile framework, i.e. Kanban
- Work with a team of geographically dispersed engineers in a global enterprise
- Serve as an escalation point for all DevOps supported tool sets and processes
- Build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders - business product, technology teams, and engineering scrums, to deliver best in class tools and workflow
- Contribute to the definition of DevOps best practices and advocate for standards adoption such as clean infrastructure code and automation
- Maintaining team documentation
- Contribute to growing the Global Cloud and Platform team’s body of knowledge through design
- Architecture reviews, defining standards, evaluating tools, developing proof of concept solutions
- Requirements: Expert level development and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, including integrated tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube and Nexus
- Senior level depth of knowledge in AWS IAM, compute, serverless, storage, and networking services
- Previous experience in a senior DevOps role with continuous deployment to an OpenShift or Kubernetes environment
- Practical knowledge of API and container deployment patterns
- Experience implementing and working in an infrastructure-as-code management framework; Terraform via GitOps or GitFlow is preferred
- Container image management
- Strong scripting ability using bash and python
- RHEL System Administration
- Solid networking experience (TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, DNS)
- Spoken English
- Nice to have: Previous DevOps experience in a financial services firm, or similarly regulated industry
- Application/container migration in OpenShift
