Position : Senior Devops Engineer
Location : LTAM Mexico - fully remote

An Insight Global Fortune 500 retail client is looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer to support and scale their CI/CD ecosystem, build tooling, and support developer productivity initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a strong software engineering foundation who has transitioned into DevOps or platform engineering, with a focus on automation, build systems, and deployment pipelines.
The idea candidate will bring a mix of hands-on development experience and deep expertise in CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure automation, and tooling optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to enable scalable and reliable software delivery
- Build and maintain developer tooling and build systems (Nx, Maven, GitHub Actions)
- Automate workflows across cloud and on-prem/in-store environments
- Optimize build, test, and deployment processes to improve speed and reliability
- Troubleshoot issues related to pipelines, deployments, and system integrations
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript), and Java
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and release efficiency
- Drive best practices for version control, pipeline standardization, and DevOps maturity
MUST HAVES:
- 5-7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering
- Strong daily use of AI tools: Copilot and Gemini
- Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
- Core Skills – Git fundamentals, YAML, CICD concepts, Bash, Github Actions
- Docker, GCP, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Terraform
- Programming skills – Typescript, Maven
- Experience supporting frontend-based applications and services
- Familiarity with cloud environments
- GCP
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Spinnaker - deployment mechanism for all of the cloud
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar)
- Strong understanding of Git workflows and version control systems
Plusses:
- Experience with Nx, React/Angular/Java/Python
- Experience with payment applications
