DevOps Engineer – Trading Technology | Hong Kong
We’re partnering with a global, technology-led investment firm to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer into a high-performance engineering environment.
This is not a traditional “keep the lights on” DevOps position. You’ll work closely with software engineering teams to build the platforms, pipelines, automation and developer tooling that underpin business-critical systems.
What you’ll be doing
Building and improving CI/CD pipelines, release processes and deployment tooling
Designing self-service platforms and developer tooling that improve engineering productivity
Automating infrastructure, deployments, upgrades and migrations
Working across hybrid infrastructure – on-premise and cloud
Building internal tools, APIs and integrations
Improving monitoring, alerting, observability and operational readiness
Partnering closely with software engineers to improve how applications move from development into production
Helping establish engineering standards and best practices across teams
What we’re looking for
Strong Python and scripting skills
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
Strong cloud infrastructure experience, ideally AWS
Terraform / OpenTofu / Infrastructure as Code
Strong understanding of Linux, with Windows exposure beneficial
Experience building or operating mature CI/CD environments
Git and modern software development workflows
Monitoring/observability experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch or Splunk
An engineering mindset focused on automation, reliability and eliminating repetitive operational work
Exposure to C/C++, Make or CMake would be beneficial but isn't essential.
