Key Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain Kubernetes environments across cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
- Automate, secure, and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Manage containerized workloads and Helm deployments.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Support database infrastructure and performance optimization across various environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline CI/CD processes and software delivery.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement proactive solutions.
- Ensure cloud security, governance, and operational best practices are maintained.
- Drive automation initiatives that improve efficiency and business value.
- Mentor and support junior DevOps engineers.
Experience and Skills Required
- Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a similar role within complex product environments.
- Strong Linux administration and engineering experience.
- Proven experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience building, administering, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Experience with containerization technologies and Helm.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
- Ability to read and understand application code, including Java or Node.js.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, governance, and operational best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Advantageous Experience
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent certification.
- GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience within fintech or other regulated environments.
- Advanced database administration and performance tuning.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Apache Pinot, or Cassandra.
- Change Data Capture (CDC) and data optimization strategies.
- Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and related observability tools.
