DevOps Engineer

Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a DevOps Engineer on behalf of our client in Remote location. This role is ideal for a cloud-focused professional with strong experience in AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure while supporting modern DevOps practices and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
Build and maintain highly available, secure, and resilient cloud environments.
Provision infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployments and operational efficiency.
Manage and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance controls.
Monitor system performance, availability, and infrastructure costs using AWS monitoring and observability tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure, deployment, and platform-related issues.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve automation, scripting, documentation, and operational workflows while ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
Proven experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Strong understanding of cloud security principles, AWS security best practices, and the Shared Responsibility Model.
Solid knowledge of networking concepts, including routing, subnetting, load balancing, firewalls, and VPN connectivity.
Experience troubleshooting complex cloud and CI/CD environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience utilizing AI-powered tools to support infrastructure automation, deployment workflows, or operational troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.
AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty.
Experience managing large-scale production AWS environments.
Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes operations and container orchestration.
Familiarity with GitHub Actions and modern DevOps toolchains.
Experience establishing best practices for AI-assisted development and operations.
