DevOps Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for supporting and scaling mission-critical production environments that power a global technology platform. As a key member of the DevOps organization, you will play a vital role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure, enhancing CI/CD processes, driving automation initiatives, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of production systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Own and support large-scale production environments, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure within AWS environments.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and product teams to support development and deployment initiatives.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies for microservices-based architectures.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency and system reliability.
- Manage, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes clusters, including Amazon EKS environments.
- Implement and support Kubernetes ecosystem tools such as ArgoCD, Keda, service mesh technologies, secrets management platforms, and deployment automation solutions.
- Analyze system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement long-term improvements.
- Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and tools.
- Maintain and optimize monitoring, observability, and alerting platforms.
- Support application deployment processes, release management, and production readiness initiatives.
- Configure and maintain networking infrastructure, including DNS, CDN, firewall, and cloud networking components.
- Partner with development teams to improve platform scalability, security, and operational excellence.
- Participate in infrastructure planning, architecture reviews, and strategic technology initiatives.
- Develop automation scripts and tooling to streamline operational processes.
- Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards across infrastructure environments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on security, availability, and system performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with strong infrastructure expertise.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working within AWS environments, including services such as RDS, Lambda, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, and related cloud technologies.
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience managing Kubernetes environments, particularly Amazon EKS.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools including ArgoCD, Keda, service mesh technologies, secret management solutions, and deployment automation platforms.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure management, and production operations.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration, networking, firewalls, DNS, CDN technologies, and infrastructure security.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms including ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, AppDynamics, or similar technologies.
- Database experience supporting SQL and cloud-based database environments.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, Groovy, JavaScript, PHP, or similar languages.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple technical teams.
