Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Modernization Engineer to lead application modernization initiatives across a large enterprise portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern software engineering practices, cloud-native technologies, DevOps, and platform engineering. The selected candidate will work closely with Platform Engineering, Application Development, SRE, DevOps, and Architecture teams to implement scalable, secure, and highly reliable solutions while mentoring engineering teams and providing technical guidance to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Platform Modernization
Lead API onboarding and perform functional validation for enterprise applications.
Implement Kubernetes Readiness and Liveness Probes to improve application health and reliability.
Drive code quality initiatives through increased code coverage, unit testing, and static code analysis.
Modernize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
DevOps & Cloud EngineeringDesign, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
Develop containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Create and manage Helm charts and YAML deployment configurations.
Support cloud-native deployment strategies and infrastructure automation.
Collaborate with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to improve deployment efficiency and application reliability.
Quality EngineeringImprove application quality through automated testing and code quality practices.
Implement unit, integration, and API testing strategies.
Utilize SonarQube for static code analysis and coverage reporting.
Perform coverage analysis and drive continuous quality improvements.
Platform Reliability & SREImplement health checks, readiness probes, and liveness probes.
Enhance application observability and monitoring capabilities.
Participate in production incident analysis and remediation planning.
Improve application availability, scalability, and overall system reliability.
Technical LeadershipCollaborate with Platform Engineering, Architecture, Application Development, and SRE teams.
Lead technical discussions and define modernization strategies.
Review technical solutions and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
