Overview One of the companies we collaborate with at Joppy is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the team.
Work modality: HYBRID in Barcelona (1 day/week at office).
As a DevOps Engineer, you will advocate and take actions towards the software development lifecycle best practices. Also, you will take ownership of the cloud infrastructure and observability.
In the DevOps squad, we typically use Terraform, AWS, Cloudflare, and scripting, whereas the software development tech stack is built on .NET, PostgreSQL, and Python for Machine Learning, with a strong emphasis on cross-team collaboration and a product-focused approach.

Responsibilities Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with Backend, Frontend, QA, and Data Science teams to support their infrastructure needs, propose new ways to work, and optimize deployment workflows.
Infrastructure Management: Design, discuss, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
CI/CD Pipeline: Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment, testing, and release processes.
Observability & Incident Response: Help enforce observability best practices. Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems in Datadog to ensure performance, reliability, and rapid response to incidents.
Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.).
Experience in secrets management.
Experience with High Availability Infrastructure and spotting Single Points of Failure.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.G., Docker, Container Orchestration, optional but preferred).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.G., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD).
Experience with monitoring tools (e.G., DataDog, NewRelic, or similar).
Incident management: root cause analysis, process, and postmortems.
Ownership from a holistic perspective: we take the challenges from the business point of view to the measurement of their success.
Fluent level of english
Nice to Have Eager to do small contributions related to infrastructure or monitoring in programming languages outside comfort zone (TypeScript, C#).
Data Warehouse experience.
Experience with Zero Trust solutions.
