DevOps Engineer
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (100% Remote Available)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Pay Rate: $60–$75/hr DOE Overview We are seeking a highly independent DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure and platform services. This role requires a self-directed professional who excels at troubleshooting complex issues, communicates effectively across teams, and takes ownership from problem identification through resolution. Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure
- Administer and support Kubernetes/EKS environments
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Manage mobile application deployment pipelines for iOS and Android
- Perform Linux administration, monitoring, and system troubleshooting
- Create and maintain operational runbooks and technical documentation
- Collaborate with development, networking, and support teams to ensure platform reliability and performance
Required Technical Skills AWS
- EC2, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch
- VPCs, NLBs, Security Groups, Site-to-Site VPNs
- EKS cluster administration and role management
- IAM policy management, access controls, and key rotation
Kubernetes
- Cluster operations and administration
- Monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions
- Performance analysis and dashboard creation
- Incident response and operational support
Linux
- Server administration and shell scripting
- Service management and log analysis
- System-level troubleshooting and file system operations
Key Qualifications
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across infrastructure, application, and networking layers
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to drive issues through resolution
- Proactive approach to identifying and preventing operational issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across technical teams

CUPS Printing
- Print queue management and printer configuration (IPP, Socket, Zebra)
