We are urgently looking for a Dev Ops engineer for Standard Bank. The person will be expected to work on a hybrid basis, going in 2x a week to the Rosebank office in JHB (sometimes Simmonds street but not often). BUT the client is moving towards full time back in office at some point, so I just want to be fully transparent about this upfront.
Culture fit is extremely important for the hiring manager. He is looking for someone vibrant, with a great positive attitude as the team is very friendly and upbeat so they need someone who would fit in well.
The rate is between R 90 k – R 100k.

Experience Hands on work experience in a hybrid (AWS) cloud environment preferably in the financial sector with PCI-DSS compliant systems. Implementing CI/CD pipeline automation across functional areas. AWS workload automation (provisioning infrastructure and custom software configuration rollout). Implementing observability for hybrid cloud-based environments. Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols. Troubleshooting low latency & Java based applications in an SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) context. Familiarity/applying Platform Engineering principles and practices.Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and practices.
