About the job (32-40 hours)
As DevOps Engineer at Foundation FSSC, you'll be responsible for building and managing the Azure Assurance Platform infrastructure that supports their global certification schemes. Working hybrid and from ’s-Hertogenbosch , you'll combine development skills with infrastructure expertise designing .NET solutions while setting up and managing the Azure environment that enables development teams to build solutions for thousands of certified organizations worldwide. You'll collaborate with a dynamic IT team of approximately 22 professionals and report to the Manager Software Engineering & Architecture.
Your role focus
In this role, you balance platform reliability with engineering enablement. Your focus is roughly divided as follows:
DevOps excellence (70%)
You ensure a secure, scalable, and well-monitored Azure environment. By applying Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform and Bicep) and CI/CD practices (Azure DevOps), you create a reliable platform that development teams can build on with confidence.
Solution design & engineering enablement (25%)
FSSC has some services and utilities, built in .Net, which support the platform. The .Net knowledge is needed to enable project teams to work faster and more consistently, applying standard frameworks and sound design principles.
Technical support & expertise (5%)
You support project teams and second-line support with technical questions and incident resolution, acting as a trusted technical sparring partner.

Almost 40,000 organizations worldwide, including premium A-brands, are certified to the FSSC 22000 Scheme for Food Safety. FSSC 24000 for Social Sustainability was published in 2022. Both Certification Programs contribute to FSSC's vision to create a better world by helping organizations achieve impact through the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This vacancy is slightly different from the one FSSC recruited for in January 2026. We're looking for someone who combines technical depth with strong collaboration skills. You're analytical, proactive in raising concerns, and have a strong sense of ownership. You have proven experience coordinating DevOps activities, including task planning and operational updates, and thrive in a team-oriented, international environment. Fluent English communication is essential.
