What will you do?
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Java applications as well as the underlying platform infrastructure;
- Improve and implement observability solutions using tools such as Grafana, New Relic, and OpenTelemetry;
- Automate infrastructure and deployments using Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and AWS services;
- Work as part of a Scrum team following the T-Shaped model, combining your Java expertise with knowledge of DevOps and cloud technologies;
- Actively contribute to the further development of the platform by introducing new technologies and tooling.
What do you bring?
- Bachelor-level education or equivalent working and thinking level;
- Good command of Dutch and/or English;
- Based in the Netherlands;
- At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role;
- Experience with observability solutions such as Grafana, New Relic, or OpenTelemetry;
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment;
- An interest in or experience with AWS, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and CI/CD.

Through our Port Community System (PCS), we enable more than 140 million logistics transactions every year and connect thousands of organizations, including terminals, shipping companies, transporters, and government agencies. In doing so, we help goods move through the logistics chain faster, more safely, and more efficiently.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the Platform Team. This team develops and manages the technical foundation on which all Portbase services run. Together, you will work on a modern cloud platform where reliability, scalability, and automation are key.
Your work will include improving observability, further automating infrastructure, and supporting development teams with a future-proof platform.
