Job Description - DevOps Lead
Location : Onsite (Preferred Location - Morelia. Other Location - Mexico City, Guadalajara)

Position Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the DevOps function, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and best practices to engineering teams.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools.
- Define and maintain the infrastructure automation roadmap leveraging Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
- Drive cloud adoption, scalability, and cost optimization across AWS and GCP environments.
- Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and observability using Dynatrace integrated with AWS and GCP services.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architect, Backend Lead, and Frontend Lead to ensure DevOps practices align with enterprise architecture standards.
- Establish and enforce governance for release management, disaster recovery, and security compliance across multi-cloud deployments.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay ahead of emerging DevOps and cloud-native trends to recommend strategic adoption.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in a DevOps leadership role.
- Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFormation) and GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage).
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Deep expertise in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, AWS CodePipline/CodeBuild, GCP Cloud Build, CircleCI, Travis CI or equivalent).
- Proven experience in monitoring and observability with Dynatrace in cloud-native contexts.
- Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, firewalls, and security best practices across cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns and principles in infrastructure and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (Spanish/English bilingual preferred).
Good to Have
- Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Exposure to service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
- Familiarity with serverless offerings (AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions).
- Experience implementing DevSecOps pipelines with integrated security testing.
- Understanding of chaos engineering and SRE practices.
