Job Profile Summary

The Manager, DevOps is responsible for leading DevOps, infrastructure automation, alignment, and FinOps practices supporting regulated healthcare cloud software products. This role ensures development teams can deliver secure, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective software through standardized tooling, well-governed cloud infrastructure, and scalable CI/CD platforms.

Essential Duties
  • Lead and manage a team of DevOps and Automation Engineers, providing mentorship, career development, and performance guidance.
  • Define and execute the DevOps and FinOps roadmap in collaboration with Engineering, QA, Security, Regulatory, Finance, and Cloud Architecture teams.
  • Oversee DevOps automation across AWS and hybrid environments.
  • Champion Infrastructure-as-Code, (Iac), using Terraform and CloudFormation, and cloud platform best practices.
  • Lead and evolve CI/CD pipelines and workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions) to enable reliable, secure, and compliant software delivery.
  • Ensure infrastructure, pipelines, and tooling meet regulatory and quality system requirements including FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and HIPAA.
  • Integrate security automation, including vulnerability scanning, access controls, secrets management, and audit readiness into DevOps CI/CD Pipelines
Alignment & Standardization
  • Drive alignment of DevOps platforms, tooling, and practices across healthcare software products to maximize reuse, consistency, and scalability.
  • Define and maintain standardized DevOps platform patterns while supporting controlled variation where product-specific requirements exist.
  • Establish and govern shared CI/CD templates, infrastructure modules, security controls, and development workflows across platforms.
  • Reduce fragmentation by identifying and consolidating duplicative tools, pipelines, and infrastructure patterns.
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture leaders to ensure platform evolution supports long-term product roadmaps and cloud strategies.
Tooling
  • Own and govern core R&D DevOps tooling, including source control, CI/CD, vulnerability and dependency scanning, artifact management, and developer productivity tools.
  • Lead selection, configuration, standardization, and lifecycle management of tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Veracode, Trivy, Antifactory, IDEs, and supporting plugins.
  • Integrate security, quality, and compliance checks into development pipelines by default.
  • Establish tooling standards, access models, usage guidelines, and audit-ready configurations across software products.
Cloud Cost Management
  • Own cloud cost visibility, optimization, and governance across development, validation, and production environments.
  • Partner with AWS Cloud Architects to ensure cost-efficient architecture patterns are implemented and operated effectively.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD platforms, and security tooling.
  • Experience supporting regulated software development environments preferred.
