Are you a DevOps Patch Engineer who lives and breathes automation, CI/CD pipelines, and secure application deployment? We're partnering with a major organisation in Belgium to secure an experienced patch automation specialist for a contract engagement.
The Role
You'll own the automation, orchestration, and governance of patch management across endpoint, server, cloud, and application environments. This role sits at the intersection of Patch Management, Automation, and DevOps, building pipelines that deploy security patches, remediate vulnerabilities, and validate compliance across a large enterprise application estate, all with minimal manual intervention.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning the end-to-end patch management lifecycle with a strong automation-first approach
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated patch deployment, testing, and validation
- Automating rollback and recovery processes to standardise deployments across environments
- Developing advanced PowerShell automation for patch deployment and vulnerability remediation
- Managing GitHub repositories, branching strategies, code reviews, and GitHub Actions workflows
- Coordinating patch deployments across enterprise applications (SWIFT, Power BI, Blue Prism, Dynatrace, and similar platforms)
- Promoting DevSecOps best practices and driving continuous improvement in patch and vulnerability management
- Producing compliance and security reporting via Microsoft Sentinel and Dynatrace
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in patch management and vulnerability remediation at enterprise scale
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills, with reusable script libraries/modules experience
- Hands-on CI/CD pipeline build and GitHub Actions authorship — not just usage
- Solid understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience patching enterprise applications, not just OS/infrastructure layers
- Cloud platform experience: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Windows Server and Linux exposure
- Comfortable working in a regulated, security-conscious financial services environment
- Available for contract engagement — freelancers/zelfstandigen/indépendants welcome to apply
