As a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer, you will:
- Support and maintain a CI/CD platform used by a large-scale IT engineering organization.
- Manage and maintain CI/CD tooling, supporting automated and self-service onboarding of development teams.
- Work with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes (K8s), Ansible Tower, CI tools, and software artifact repositories.
- Develop and maintain automation and CI/CD pipelines following DevOps and SecDevOps principles.
- Develop and maintain solutions using Go/Golang as a core development skill.
- Support the infrastructure underpinning CI/CD tooling across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications on cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Provide L2 support for critical business applications and technical issues.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, operating system, application, and network-related issues and drive incidents through to resolution.
- Administer and maintain Linux-based environments, including operating-system-level configuration and administration.
- Implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Ansible playbooks.
- Support infrastructure alignment, standardization, and operational improvements across the development tooling environment.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to resolve issues related to CI/CD platforms and development tooling.
- Manage incidents and implement infrastructure and application changes in accordance with agreed SLAs.
- Contribute to automation and self-service capabilities that simplify the onboarding and usage of development tooling.
- Work with technologies such as Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Nexus Lifecycle, Fortify, Nexus Repository Manager, Confluence, Ansible Tower, and NeoLoad.
- Continuously improve the reliability, security, scalability, and usability of the CI/CD platform.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 6–8 years of overall professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Operations/Infrastructure Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on foundation in cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
- Strong expertise in Go/Golang.
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of DevOps and SecDevOps principles.
- Experience with Ansible and Infrastructure as Code, including Ansible playbooks.
- Experience with Ansible Tower is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, particularly system administration and operational support.
- Experience providing L2 support for critical business applications and production issues.
- Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting COTS applications in cloud and/or on-premises environments.
- Experience with infrastructure and application automation.
- Experience troubleshooting network hardware and software-related issues.
- Experience managing incidents and implementing technical changes according to SLA requirements.
- Experience with CI tooling and software artifact repositories is advantageous.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases is advantageous.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and related development tooling is advantageous.
You should possess the ability to:
- Operate and maintain Azure and Kubernetes-based infrastructure supporting enterprise CI/CD platforms.
- Develop automation and tooling using Go/Golang.
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and IaC practices.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux environments at the operating-system level.
- Provide effective L2 operational support for critical business applications and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, network, and platform issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot COTS applications across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Automate repetitive operational activities and develop self-service capabilities.
- Apply SecDevOps and security-by-design principles throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
- Manage incidents, changes, and operational activities within defined SLAs.
- Collaborate effectively with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and platform teams.
- Learn and expand knowledge of enterprise CI/CD platforms and development tooling while supporting engineering teams.
- Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, reliability, and operational improvement.
