DevOps Lead (Python,CI/CD,Jenkins,Kubernetes ) /Senior Associate Director

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of DevOps Lead/Senior Associate Director

In this role, you will: In this role, you will:

  • Lead the DevOps capability for Data Technology, enabling secure, reliable, and scalable delivery of data platforms and products. You’ll set direction for CI/CD, infrastructure automation, observability, and operational excellence—using AI-assisted automation to improve engineering productivity, service reliability, and risk control while meeting regulatory and resilience expectationsKey responsibilities
  • DevOps leadership & delivery :Own DevOps strategy and roadmap for data platforms (e.g., data lake/warehouse, streaming, analytics, ML platforms). Lead a team of DevOps/SRE engineers (and/or matrix resources), providing coaching, standards, and delivery oversight. Partner with service lines engineering leads to plan releases, manage dependencies, and remove delivery blockers.
  • Platform engineering & automation : Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for data and platform components (code, configuration, infrastructure), incorporating AI-assisted quality gates where appropriate.
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption and quality (e.g., Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM), including reusable modules and policy-as-code guardrails.Build “golden paths” and self-service templates that accelerate delivery and reduce operational toil. Introduce AI-enabled developer experience improvements (e.g., assisted pipeline generation, automated documentation, intelligent runbooks) within approved controls.
  • Reliability, resilience & operations : Define and track SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, and operational KPIs for critical data services .
  • Security, risk & compliance : Embed security-by-design: secrets management, least privilege, vulnerability management, patching, and secure pipeline controls. Work with Cyber Security and Risk teams to meet internal control requirements and regulatory expectations. Ensure audit-ready evidence for changes, access, and operational controls.
  • Data engineering enablement: Enable data engineers and analysts with self-service tooling, templates, and golden paths for deploying data pipelines and services. Improve developer experience (DX) through standard tooling, documentation, and inner-source practices. Support MLOps/LLMOps collaboration where relevant (e.g., model deployment pipelines, feature store integration, model monitoring hooks) in partnership with ML teams
  • Stakeholder management : Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders on delivery status, risks, and trade-offs. Collaborate across teams and geographies to align standards and drive consistent ways of working.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven experience leading DevOps/SRE for enterprise platforms, ideally in data/analytics environments. Strong CI/CD expertise (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and Git-based workflows.
  • Hands-on IaC and configuration management; experience building reusable automation patterns. Strong understanding of cloud and/or container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift) and platform services. Observability experience (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/Splunk, Datadog).
  • Security fundamentals: IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, secure SDLC. Solid scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and ability to review code.
  • Experience operating services with high availability, performance, and resilience requirements. Experience implementing automation for incident response and operational workflows; familiarity with AIOps concepts (anomaly detection, event correlation, intelligent alerting).
  • Desirable skills : Experience with data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop) and data pipeline deployment patterns. Knowledge of data governance concepts (lineage, quality, access controls) and how they influence platform operations.
  • Banking industry experience and familiarity with audit and control environments. Exposure to MLOps/LLMOps practices (model CI/CD, model monitoring, feature pipelines) and responsible AI controls.
  • Qualifications : Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant certifications (desirable): Kubernetes, cloud provider certifications, Terraform, ITIL/SRE.
  • Leadership behaviours (what success looks like) : Builds inclusive, high-performing teams and promotes continuous learning. Balances pace with safety: delivers quickly while managing risk responsibly. Drives measurable improvements in deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, and MTTR. Creates clarity: simple standards, strong documentation, and predictable delivery.
