We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in building and implementing modern DevSecOps platforms from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in designing, architecting, automating, and supporting secure CI/CD environments, infrastructure automation, container platforms, and enterprise-grade production systems.
This role requires extensive experience with greenfield DevSecOps implementations, including platform architecture, tool selection, automation strategy, and deployment of secure engineering practices. Candidates should have deep technical expertise across CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, bare-metal infrastructure, and enterprise platform engineering.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can explain their direct contributions in designing and implementing DevSecOps solutions rather than primarily focusing on operational support, governance, or compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, configure, and maintain on-premises bare-metal infrastructure supporting DevSecOps platforms, container environments, databases, and messaging systems.
- Build and manage secure CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, security scanning, and deployment processes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation to create scalable and repeatable environments.
- Design and implement secure deployment solutions across hybrid, cloud, and containerized environments.
- Configure and manage container orchestration platforms including:
- Kubernetes
- Red Hat OpenShift
- Docker
- Implement container security practices including image governance, vulnerability management, runtime security, and secure deployment patterns.
- Design and support DevSecOps solutions integrating with relational databases including PostgreSQL.
- Deploy, configure, and support messaging and streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve application reliability, deployment processes, and production readiness.
- Develop automation frameworks and scripts to improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools such as:
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- ELK Stack
- Troubleshoot complex issues across:
- Hardware infrastructure
- Operating systems
- Containers
- CI/CD pipelines
- Application environments
- Apply security best practices including:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Network segmentation
- Encryption
- Secrets management
- Vulnerability scanning
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Continuously improve automation, reliability, security posture, and developer experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in:
- DevOps
- DevSecOps
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- Platform Engineering
- Strong experience designing and building DevSecOps platforms from scratch (Greenfield experience preferred).
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as:
- Jenkins
- GitLab CI/CD
- GitHub Actions
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code:
- Terraform
- CloudFormation
- Deep knowledge of container technologies:
- Kubernetes
- Red Hat OpenShift
- Docker
- Strong experience supporting on-premises and bare-metal infrastructure environments.
- Experience implementing security automation including:
- SAST
- DAST
- Vulnerability scanning
- Security tooling integration
- SIEM platforms
- Experience working with relational databases, preferably:
- PostgreSQL
- Experience with distributed messaging platforms:
- Apache Kafka
- Strong scripting and automation skills using:
- Python
- Bash
- PowerShell
- Experience with monitoring and logging platforms:
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- ELK Stack
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure and application layers.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
