Job Description

Digital EHS Implementation Engineer


AECOM seeks a Senior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System Consultant to join our Environmental Data Management team, in support of Digital Sustainability and Digital EHS Operations. Our digital sustainability services help clients deploy enterprise Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) software solutions. 


In this role, you will lead project teams to ensure the successful implementation of EHS&S software solutions, including Enablon, ETQ, Cority, Sphera, and Intelex. You will work on projects as the guiding expert, helping to implement leading sustainability and EHS&S software system design, configuration, and deployment. As a subject matter expert in the solution, you will provide best practices and deep technical expertise in its functionality and configuration. 


This role will be based out of our offices in Bengaluru, India and will offer a hybrid work schedule.


Job Summary



  • Configure, extend and modify software used for environmental and safety purposes.

  • Understand what clients need from their EHS solutions and work with specialists to evaluate options; design and propose innovative solutions to meet client requirements.

  • Coordinate across global networks of SMEs, colleagues, and clients to build business acumen and work through problems and questions.

  • Lead teams through the lifecycle of EHS software configuration and deployment; this includes working with clients to understand, refine, and document their needs and requirements in a design specification, leading and supporting configuration teams, conducting system testing, creating strategies, executing system integration and data migration plans, and leading final system preparation for go-live.

  • Support project managers in managing risk and budget performance via task planning, tracking, and reporting.

  • Serve as senior technical expert in solutions such as Enablon by supporting teams of technical configuration staff as well as performing advanced configuration.

  • Provide responsive ongoing support services in solutions such as Enablon to regional project teams; as a subject matter expert, resolve open issues and provide functionality and configuration best practices for Enablon software.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; OR equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the EHS field and demonstrated proficiency with Enablon software system.

  • Experience defining and developing integrations, including implementation of key functionality such as dashboards and reports.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills with the ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently research and resolve client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.

  • Excellent project management skills, including work prioritization, planning, task delegation, and performance measurement; capable of driving planning, resolution, and execution of projects.

  • Experience leading new or start-up-related projects where processes require definition, implementation, and iteration.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with EHS domains such as incident management, safety, audit and inspection, sustainability, environmental compliance, enterprise risk management, product stewardship, occupational health, management systems, or quality management systems.

  • Work experience in software development or environmental and occupational safety disciplines.

  • Proficiency with PowerBI and PowerApps.

  • Experience using, modifying, and writing code (e.g., C#, M, SQL, XML).

  • Platform and/or solution certification in Enablon.

  • Second language capability, particularly Spanish, German, or Chinese (work is primarily conducted in English).

Additional Information

Preferred work location is hybrid home/office. Flexibility to travel on short notice, up to 20%, largely within APAC.
