Compass Health Center is one of the largest providers of PHP/IOP services in North America, providing crisis-level mental health care in a comfortable, outpatient setting. With robust programs for children as young as five through all stages of adulthood, we are proud to offer multi-disciplinary, evidence-based treatment to those in need.
With current locations in Northbrook and Chicago, we are excited to be opening our third facility in Oak Brook, IL. At this state of the art facility, we will continue to further our mission of setting the standard of excellence within the PHP/IOP space.
As we prepare to open our Oak Brook facility, we are seeking an experienced Director for our Adolescent Program. Our adolescent program works with patients ages 14-18 at both the PHP and IOP levels of care.
Note that this role will ultimately be based in Oak Brook, but will be training in Chicago/Northbrook from mid-June until early-August when the Oak Brook facility officially opens. Interviews will be taking place throughout the spring.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing direct managerial oversight to Associate Directors, Primary Therapists and Group/Milieu Therapists as needed
Identifying hiring/staffing needs and participating in interviewing and hiring process
Executing new hire onboarding and staff development
Initiating employee performance appraisal and staff performance improvement program compliance with accrediting bodies
Leading the day to day execution of policies and procedures as well as the mission and objectives of Compass
Managing program paid time off to ensure adequate staffing patterns
Managing Program Intake schedule with assistance from Senior Director
Responding to clinical crises as needed and coordinating response of others
Development and implementation of program material and curriculum
As indicated, participating in community outreach
Overseeing calls about program eligibility and appropriateness. Ensures referrals are provided as needed
Conducting clinical intakes to identify clinical diagnoses, functional impairment, personal strengths and make treatment recommendations
Providing group, individual, and family therapy, as needed
Communicating with patient’s family members or support system, as needed
Coordinating care with patient’s outside providers to ensure continuity of care
Assessing patient’s progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
Engaging in frequent communication and collaboration with team members via rounds, EMR notes, emails, and face-to-face communication
Charting progress of patients appropriately
Participating in professional development activities
Ideal Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctorate level clinician with one of the following licenses: PhD, PsyD, LCSW, or LCPC
Experience developing and managing programs and clinical teams
Experience supervising therapists, both licensed and seeing licensure
Knowledge and experience of group dynamics utilizing CBT, ACT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, among other effective and efficacious treatments
Experience with patients in crisis
Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment
Experience with program target population in group and individual therapy settings
