At Amaris Consulting, we are looking for a Document Controller to join one of our key clients in the electricity and grid solutions sector. In this role, you will play a key part in building and optimizing document management processes that support critical engineering and business activities. Working closely with technical teams and stakeholders, you will ensure that project documentation is accurate, compliant, secure, and accessible throughout the entire project lifecycle.


Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient document management systems for technical and business documentation.
  • Define and enforce document control standards, including metadata, document classification, version control, traceability, and retention policies.
  • Review, validate, and manage engineering and project documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure system compatibility, secure data migration, and information integrity.
  • Act as the main point of contact for document management processes and requirements across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze existing documentation workflows and identify opportunities for process optimization and digitalization.
  • Coordinate document clean-up initiatives and support data governance activities.
  • Train and support users on document management tools and best practices.
  • Ensure document control procedures are respected throughout the entire project lifecycle.


Your Profile

  • Master's degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in document control, records management, or document management within a technical or industrial environment.
  • Proven experience building and implementing document control processes from scratch.
  • Strong knowledge of document management platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, or similar solutions.
  • Good understanding of information governance, document lifecycle management, and data protection principles.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • User-oriented mindset with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or change management initiatives is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, French is considered a strong asset.
