Responsibilities
- Conducting technical drainage analysis and design calculations for continuous and single-event rainfall modeling.
- Analysis of basins, hydrographs, development and routing of maximum discharges.
- Software expertise includes HEC-HMS, SWMM, TR-55, SBUH and HSPF method programs.
- Pavement drainage, culverts, storm systems, pumping stations, bridge sizing, sediment transport, liner design, and coastal considerations for road drainage.
- Understanding of FHWA's hydraulic engineering technical reports and design series.
- Stormwater quantity/quality calculations, LID, NPDES compliance and erosion control
- Development of drainage plans, profiles, specifications and estimates for transportation projects and hydraulic resources. This includes dirt roads, grading and other design components through models such as Inroads, Arc-GIS and other pre- and post-processing software packages.
- Experience with international codes desirable (AASHTO, DOT).
- Bachelor’s Degree like Civil Engineer or related fields. Master’s degree (Desirable)
- +10 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in 3D civil engineering design software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel to different project sites as needed.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical team members.
