Driver Code 14 - Midrand
Contractor Position
Location: Midrand, GautengSector: Logistics, Warehouse & Freight
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate Code 14 heavy vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Deliver and collect goods according to scheduled routes and instructions.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, clean, and properly maintained.
- Complete delivery notes, trip sheets, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Ensure goods are loaded, secured, transported, and offloaded safely.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, and incidents immediately.
- Comply with road traffic legislation and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, deliveries, and vehicle condition.
- Assist with loading and offloading where required.
- Maintain professional conduct with customers, suppliers, and the public.
- Protect company property, vehicles, equipment, and goods at all times.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Code 14 / EC driver's licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP) for the applicable vehicle category.
- 3-5 years' experience driving heavy motor vehicles.
- Experience with long-distance, regional, or local deliveries.
- Good knowledge of South African roads and traffic regulations.
- Ability to complete vehicle inspection and delivery documentation.
- Clear driving record, subject to company requirements.
- Rate: R80.61 P/H
