Overview

We are currently seeking a competent and reliable Driver Code 14 to join our team in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. As a contractor, the successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various destinations efficiently and safely. This position reports to the Operations department.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Transport goods to customers, warehouses, distribution centres, or cross-border destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report mechanical defects, accidents, and road incidents.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and offloaded correctly.
• Maintain delivery notes, trip sheets, logbooks, and proof-of-delivery documents.
• Adhere to road traffic regulations and company policies.
• Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle condition.
• Plan routes and meet delivery deadlines.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and dispatch personnel.

Requirements

• 5 years experience in driving and deliveries
• Clean criminal record
• Valid PDP
• Good communication skills
• Must have Matric
• Available immediately
