Drupal Developer

Job Summary:

The Senior Drupal Developer is responsible for leading the development of custom Drupal modules, themes, and sub-themes, as well as managing complex integrations, migration scripting, and platform enhancements. This role ensures adherence to Drupal best practices and quality standards, focusing on Drupal 11 and the Acquia Cloud Next hosting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Drupal 11 custom modules, sub-themes, forms, workflows, and integrations.
• Implement NYS branding sub-theme and responsive web design.
• Integrate tools such as GA4, SearchStax, and AccessiBE for analytics, search, and accessibility.
• Write migration scripts and automate migration processes.
• Perform defect triage and optimize performance.
• Automate deployments using Acquia Pipelines and CI tools like Travis CI and Acquia BLT.
• Collaborate using Git and Git Flow for version control.
• Use HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and accessibility validation tools to ensure quality front-end implementation.
• Work with PHP, MySQL, Apache Solr, and Acquia Cloud Services for backend development and hosting.
• Deliver custom modules, sub-themes, integration code, migration scripts, release packages, and code documentation.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience developing Drupal 8 or higher websites.
• Proven experience with Drupal custom module and theme development.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Experience with Drupal 11 platform and Acquia Cloud hosting environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Travis CI, Acquia BLT, and Acquia Pipelines.
• Experience with Git and Git Flow version control workflows.
• Ability to perform migration scripting and automation.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and validation tools.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Acquia Certified Developer certification.
• Acquia Certified Front-End Specialist certification.
• Acquia Certified Site Builder certification.
• Experience with Apache Solr and SearchStax integrations.
• Experience with GA4 and AccessiBE integrations.
