Job Description:
- The client envisions an independent Drupal developer focused on delivering websites within a multidisciplinary Agile team at the digital foundation.
- The core of the role is backend development: designing custom modules, integrating contributor modules, CMS updates, and security—not just using Drupal. The recurring keywords (code review, unit testing, organic analysis, technical documentation, deployment plan) indicate a profile that masters the full development lifecycle, not a pure web integrator.
- The WCAG 2.0 accessibility requirements and SEO and performance optimization are explicit and distinguish this role from a generalist developer position. The role collaborates with the architect and UX/UI experts, but remains a development role, not an architecture or project management role.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Strong Drupal expertise: custom module development, contributed module integration, CMS upgrades, and security
- Software development experience at the required level
- Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Quality practices: code reviews, unit testing, functional and technical analysis, technical documentation
Desired:
- Knowledge of the SAFe framework
- Code complying with WCAG 2.0 accessibility requirements
- Development practices optimized for SEO and website performance
Asset:
- Master’s degree
- Industry experience in insurance or finance
