Job Title: Drupal Developer - Remote

Job Description:
As a Drupal Developer, you will be responsible for redesigning and enhancing web platform functionality, including homepage improvements, advanced search capabilities, and ongoing website optimization. You will leverage Drupal expertise to deliver secure, accessible, and user-friendly digital experiences while ensuring website performance, reliability, and compliance with modern web standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement homepage enhancements and user experience improvements within the Drupal platform.

Develop and optimize website search functionality using Drupal search technologies and Apache Solr.

Build and maintain responsive frontend components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.

Manage and update website content, multimedia assets, and CMS configurations within Drupal.

Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines and best practices.

Implement and maintain website security controls, software updates, plugins, themes, and vulnerability remediation.

Troubleshoot website functionality, server configuration, search performance, and user access issues.

Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver enhancements and support website operations.

Monitor website health, performance, and scalability across hosting environments.

Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to web governance and content standards.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

Strong experience developing and supporting websites using the Drupal Content Management System.

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend web development practices.

Hands-on experience with Drupal search technologies, including Apache Solr.

Experience with Drupal theming, content management, and custom module development.

Knowledge of web hosting environments, server configurations, and website deployment practices.

Strong understanding of website security best practices, including SSL/TLS, firewalls, and vulnerability management.

Experience implementing and maintaining WCAG accessibility compliance standards.

Ability to troubleshoot website, search, and user access issues in complex environments.

Experience collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver web solutions.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
