Minimum requirements:
The role manages the quality, availability, presentation, and performance of online products, using trading
insights to improve conversion, sales, margin, and promotional effectiveness. Working closely with
Procurement, Marketing, IT, Supply Chain, and Finance, the role ensures that the companies digital platform
supports profitable growth across retail and commercial customer segments.
Education A relevant tertiary qualification in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Business, Commerce, Retail
Management, Information Systems, or a related field is typically expected for this role.
Professional certifications in Google Analytics, e-commerce, product information management,
digital merchandising, or similar disciplines may be advantageous but are not essential.
Experience The role typically requires solid experience in e-commerce trading, digital merchandising, online retail
operations, product information management, or commercial digital analytics.
Experience managing online catalogues, product data, web analytics, conversion performance, and
digital trading activity is important. Exposure to retail, wholesale, B2B, or multi-channel sales
environments is particularly relevant given Waltons retail, commercial, and digital operating model
Relevant Operational Exposure Managing product information, attributes, imagery, and content in a PIM environment, ideally Akeneo.
Analysing customer behaviour, product performance, and conversion journeys using GA4 or
comparable tools.
Managing online pricing, promotions, product visibility, and merchandising in a margin-sensitive
environment.
Improving online product pages, search results, and digital customer journeys using data-led insight.
Producing commercial trading reports and translating findings into practical recommendations.
Working across Procurement, Marketing, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, and customer-facing teams.
