Are you an experienced EHS Coordinator with strong Permit to Work and contractor management experience looking for your next opportunity in Cork? Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Little Island, Cork, is seeking an EHS Coordinator to join their EHS team. Reporting to the EHS Manager, this is a key site-based role with a particular focus on managing third-party contractors and ensuring safe, compliant execution of works on site. What you will be doing: Managing and issuing Safe Work Permits / Permit to Work for maintenance, contractor and project activities. Coordinating and monitoring third-party contractors to ensure full compliance with site EHS requirements. Reviewing method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work before work commences. Ensuring contractors adhere to PPE requirements, site procedures and controls for life-critical activities. Supporting safety investigations, incident reporting and the implementation of corrective actions. Monitoring EHS performance and driving improvements through site KPIs and action plans. Supporting Management of Change (MOC), safety reviews and the development of safe working procedures. Supporting environmental compliance, including waste and wastewater activities. What we are looking for: Higher Diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work or equivalent. Previous experience in an EHS / Health & Safety role within a manufacturing or regulated environment. Proven experience with Permit to Work / Safe Work Permit systems is essential. Experience managing and coordinating third-party contractors on a manufacturing site. Strong knowledge of risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work. Experience within a GMP or similarly regulated environment would be advantageous. Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to challenge unsafe practices and hold others accountable. What is on offer: Competitive salary based on experience.
