EHS Coordinator
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with a high-tech manufacturing organization in Fremont that is seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator to support environmental, health, and safety operations within a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on on the production floor, partnering cross-functionally, and helping drive a strong culture of safety and compliance.
This position supports cleanroom and manufacturing operations and plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company EHS standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across manufacturing operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other applicable regulations
- Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments throughout production and cleanroom environments
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans
- Manage hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal processes
- Maintain EHS documentation, permits, records, and compliance reporting
- Deliver safety training for employees, contractors, and new hires
- Support chemical safety and hazardous materials programs
- Track and report safety metrics including TRIR and DART
- Partner with operations, engineering, and facilities teams to promote safe work practices
- Participate in emergency response and environmental sustainability initiatives
Qualifications:
- 25 years of EHS experience within semiconductor, electronics, manufacturing, cleanroom, or high-tech environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and environmental regulations
- Experience with:
- Hazardous waste management
- Incident investigations
- Root cause analysis
- Safety audits and inspections
- Risk assessments / JHAs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Experience delivering employee safety training preferred
- Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and chemical handling strongly preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred
