Must-Haves
  • Demonstrated ability to lead EHS programs and influence safety performance at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and behavior-based safety programs.
  • Experience leading regulatory audits, environmental compliance programs, and safety management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, such as industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, engineering, or a technical discipline, with 3 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CHMM, or equivalent.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Job Details What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide EHS leadership, guidance, resources, and support for the Cabot, Vermont campus, primarily focused at the Cutting and Wrapping facility.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs that promote safe work practices and employee engagement.
  • Lead safety initiatives that foster a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientation and deliver required annual training in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company requirements.
  • Partner with leaders and employees to identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Serve as the primary resource and champion for Safety Committees, Emergency Response Teams, and site leadership.
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain all required EHS documentation, permits, records, and regulatory reports.
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate equipment, processes, and work environments for safety and ergonomic improvements.
  • Recommend and implement appropriate engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external compliance audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Assist with workers' compensation case management, return-to-work programs, and injury prevention initiatives.
  • Monitor changes in EHS regulations and ensure ongoing compliance across both campuses.
  • Support sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives, including waste management and environmental reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and human resources teams to support business objectives and employee well-being.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems.
  • Ability to travel between facilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
