Location: Eden Prairie, MN
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated Electronic Engineer to design, develop, test, and support advanced power supply systems and related subsystems. This role contributes across the product lifecycle, including concept development, design, validation, and manufacturing support, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
This position may be filled at either the Engineer II or Senior (III) Engineer level. The final level will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, technical expertise, and demonstrated ability to work independently and lead complex engineering efforts.
RESPONIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and validate power supply systems and circuits, including analog/digital, RF, control logic, and power electronics.
- Perform schematic capture, board layout support, prototype development, and system‑level testing.
- Execute and analyze lab experiments, test data, and performance validation to ensure designs meet functional and regulatory specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across development, manufacturing, and field environments.
- Develop models, simulations, and analytical tools to improve design robustness and reduce iteration cycles.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and field applications) to achieve cost, schedule, and quality targets.
- Support laboratory operations, including equipment setup, automation, maintenance, and safety compliance.
- Develop scripts or tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW) to automate testing, data acquisition, and analysis.
- Document designs, test results, and engineering changes clearly and thoroughly.
ADDITIONAL for Senior Level
- Lead design efforts for subsystems or full products, drive technical decisions, and influence architecture or design direction.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and review support to less experienced engineers.
- Interface with leadership and stakeholders to present results, proposals, and design recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong foundation in electrical engineering, including circuit design, power electronics, and system‑level integration.
- Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, power measurement tools, etc.).
- Experience with electronic design tools (e.g., Cadence, Altium, SPICE simulation).
- Knowledge of embedded systems, control systems, or RF/power systems concepts.
- Programming/scripting experience (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Additional for Senior Level: Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex technical problems and lead design efforts.
- Additional for Senior Level: Experience influencing system architecture, design direction, or cross‑functional decisions.
- Additional for Senior Level: Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
EXPERIENCE
- Engineer II: 2–5 years of relevant experience in electronic or power systems design or advanced degree; experience contributing to product development, testing, and troubleshooting in a professional environment.
- Senior Engineer: 5+ years of relevant experience in electronic design or similar field or advanced degree; proven track record of owning designs, solving complex engineering challenges, and delivering results independently.
EDUCATION
- Engineer II: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- Senior Engineer: Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
