Contract Opportunity – Electrical Engineer (Grid Connection)
Remote Italy - occasional travel to Rome
€275 per day
6 months initially
We are currently seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer
for a
6-month contract
supporting a major client in the renewable energy sector.
This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with the client’s technical team on
grid connection solutions for renewable energy projects
, including solar PV and wind.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and validate HV/MV grid connection solutions
Support technical feasibility studies and connection strategy development
Interface with
TERNA, e-distribuzione, and other DSOs/TSOs
Coordinate engineering consultants and EPC/BOP contractors
Support tendering, technical specifications, and bid evaluations
Ensure compliance with
Grid Code, CEI, and TICA requirements
Support commissioning, energisation, and handover to O&M
Required Experience:
Strong HV/MV electrical engineering background
Experience with substations, transmission, and distribution networks
Renewable energy experience (onshore PV and/or wind)
Knowledge of Italian grid connection processes
Experience managing engineering and contractor interfaces
Understanding of SCADA, protection, and control systems
We are looking for a technically strong engineer who can confidently manage complex grid connection challenges while working in a collaborative remote environment.
