Electrical Project Engineer Location Pretoria Employment Type Full-time Start Date ASAP Salary R40,000 - R50,000 CTC per month Working Hours 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday Role Summary The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing electrical engineering projects from initial concept through to completion. The role requires strong technical expertise, effective project management, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes within defined timelines. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and review electrical systems and project specifications. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Conduct site inspections, technical assessments, and compliance checks. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements. Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide engineering solutions. Support commissioning, testing, and handover processes. Minimum Requirements NDip/BTech or BEng in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering Valid driver's license and own transport 3-5 years in electrical project or industrial automation environment Demonstrated experience in project scheduling, documentation, and drawing control Panel build and/or commissioning and FAT experience (preferred) Proven ability to manage and direct technical team on site Strong organizational skills; able to work under pressure and meet hard deadlines Preferred Skills FMCG / Food & Beverage sector project experience PLC, E&I or control systems exposure Eplan or electrical drafting software exposure International project delivery experience Computer Skills MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Project Proficient in Excel and Sage Scholtz International
