Carlo Gavazzi Impianti, part of the Bonatti Group,
is an EPC contractor specialized in the construction of primary substations, high-voltage electrical substations, as well as in the engineering and construction of BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and photovoltaic plants. We collaborate with leading players in the energy sector, delivering complex and strategic projects for national and international power networks.
We are hiring a Junior Electrical Project Engineer for our Assago (Milan) office.
After an initial training period, the selected candidate will join the internal engineering team and support the development of electrical design activities for HV/MV/LV systems within EPC projects in the power, renewable energy, and industrial sectors, both in Italy and abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
Support electrical design studies such as Load Flow, Short Circuit, Earthing and Motor Starting calculations
Assist in preparing engineering documentation including electrical schematics, layouts, and technical specifications
Ensure proper flow of technical information within the multidisciplinary project team
Contribute to the design of electrical systems such as UPS, transformers, MV/LV switchboards and substations
Support network studies and electrical distribution design activities
Collaborate with senior engineers and support project execution phases, including commissioning when required
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering
Recent graduate or up to 2–3 years of experience in a similar role
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Italian language fluency is mandatory
Basic knowledge of electrical calculation tools and design principles
Proficiency in MS Office
Strong willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment
Attention to detail and methodical approach
Availability for short site assignments, especially during commissioning phases
