Job Description
The Electronics/Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling, fabricating, inspecting, testing, and packaging electrical and electronic products in accordance with engineering drawings, manufacturing instructions, quality standards, and customer requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, manual dexterity, and a consistent commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble electrical and electronic products using manufacturing control records (MCRs), manufacturing instructions (MIs), shop orders, drawings, specifications, and wire lists.
+ Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and related documentation to complete assembly tasks accurately.
+ Gather and organize required materials, tools, and equipment prior to starting work.
+ Cut, strip, terminate, label, and route wires and cables according to specifications and quality standards.
+ Install connectors, terminals, contacts, and other electrical components in accordance with engineering requirements.
+ Perform potting, bonding, cable assembly, wire harness fabrication, and other electro-mechanical assembly work.
+ Complete repairs, rework, and corrective actions on assemblies as required to meet quality standards.
+ Package finished products securely for shipment in line with shipping and handling requirements.
+ Follow established quality standards, procedures, and inspection requirements throughout the production process.
+ Ensure all products meet customer and company specifications and support efforts to reduce defects, waste, and rework.
+ Participate in in-process and final inspections and maintain accurate production, inspection, and shipping records.
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
+ Operate tools and equipment safely, perform routine equipment checks, and support preventive maintenance activities.
+ Follow operational procedures, quality systems, and manufacturing standards consistently.
+ Package products to prevent shipping damage and accurately document completed work, inspections, and shipments.
+ Maintain accessible and up-to-date manufacturing and quality records.
+ Complete work accurately, efficiently, and on schedule while meeting production deadlines and maintaining high-quality workmanship.
+ Correctly interpret drawings, instructions, and manufacturing documents to achieve satisfactory inspection results.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
+ Demonstrate reliability, accountability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
+ Collaborate effectively with assemblers, technicians, supervisors, engineers, and quality personnel to support team and departmental objectives.
+ Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues and assist team members as needed.
+ Communicate production, quality, safety, and material concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.
Essential Skills
+ At least 2 years of electronic/electrical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Hands-on experience with cable assembly, wire harness assembly, and electronic assembly.
+ Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50-70 lbs as part of regular duties.
+ Proficiency in soldering, including experience using a soldering iron safely and effectively.
+ Ability to read and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
+ Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude for detailed assembly work.
+ Experience with electrical wiring and use of soldering tools.
+ Basic computer skills to navigate production, documentation, and quality systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working with machine setup and production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience in extrusion, cabling, steel manufacturing, or plastic-related production is beneficial.
+ Ability to interpret wire lists, specifications, and schematics with accuracy.
+ Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and defect reduction.
+ Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
+ Willingness to support preventive maintenance activities and follow established operational procedures.
+ Commitment to continuous improvement and openness to cross-training on multiple operations.

The setting supports cross-training on various operations and emphasizes safe equipment use and organized workspaces.
