Schneider Digital is the digital department of Schneider Electric, leading the digital transformation in the company by supporting internal teams and clients worldwide. The Department has six Digital Hubs located in France, China, India, USA, Mexico and Spain. The Barcelona Hub employs over 450 people working on strategic projects and roles in Data, Cybersecurity, ERP, Cloud, Infrastructures, IT Project Management, and Digital Marketing.

We are looking for a Yocto/Embedded Linux Developer to help design, evolve, and industrialise a high‑impact embedded Linux distribution for a wide range of hardware platforms used across Schneider Electric products worldwide. This is a hands‑on technical role that combines low‑level Linux expertise, automation, and strong engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, develop, and maintain Yocto recipes and layers for key open‑source components
Integrate and validate Board Support Packages (BSPs) across ARM64, ARM32, and x86‑64 platforms
Strengthen and scale the CI/CD pipeline to support reliable, industrial‑grade deliveries
Design and maintain automated test infrastructures, including LAVA‑based validation
Collaborate closely with product, system, architecture, and quality teams
Drive high standards for software quality, security, and long‑term maintainability
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Embedded Linux / Yocto development
Proven expertise in Yocto Project, BSP integration, and Linux build systems
Solid understanding of ARM and x86 architectures
Strong hands‑on experience with Git/GitHub, Shell scripting, and Python
A strong engineering mindset with a focus on automation and quality
Comfort working in an international, multicultural environment
Availability to travel to France 1 week per month initially
3 days a week from the office in Barcelona are required
