The Software and Electronics department develops and maintains critical components of the SCHUNK product family:

• 
  
• Electronics modules for mechatronic-based grippers
  
• Firmware development, software testing and validation
  
• Cross-platform tool development (Windows, Linux, iOS, Android)
  
• Robot plug-in software for seamless integration with collaborative robots (UR, KUKA, ABB, and more)
  
• All functions from hardware abstraction up to end-user tool features are developed SCHUNK internally

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Develop embedded software for our mechatronic products across the full lifecycle: requirements, architecture, implementation, and testing
  
• Evolve the software architecture and expand functionality for supported hardware, peripherals, and kinematics
  
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation projects from prototype to production
  
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams in Germany
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Educational xhfqzwm qualification: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field
  
• Experience: Initial hands‑on experience in embedded software development
  
• Technical skills:
  • 
    
  • Confident use of an object‑oriented language, ideally C++
    
  • Basic knowledge of software engineering principles and version control (e.G., Git)
    
  
  
• Personality: Team player with a genuine passion for new technologies, creative problem-solving, and a hands‑on approach to product development
  
• Languages: Spanish and English;
  German is a plus
