Embedded Linux Contractor (Outside IR35) | Birmingham (Onsite) | 6 Months Initial Contract
We're partnering with an innovative technology company developing a next-generation consumer electronics product and are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Contractor to join their engineering team on an initial 6-month contract engagement. Start Date: 29th July 2026 (can be flexible for the right person)
Contract: Initial 6 Months
Strong Embedded Linux development experience
• Expert-level C/C++ programming skills
• Experience developing low-level software, firmware, drivers, and embedded applications
• Knowledge of software architecture for connected embedded devices
• Experience with telemetry, device monitoring, and cloud data synchronisation
• Familiarity with secure firmware deployment and device lifecycle management
The client is a fast paced forward thinking company and as such are looking for engineers who actively leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality. Experience using tools such as Cursor, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-powered engineering platforms is highly desirable.
