Job Description:

  • Manage and optimize Coating / Thin Film manufacturing processes to achieve yield, quality, cost, and productivity targets.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support and troubleshooting for thin-film coating equipment and production processes.
  • Analyze process performance using SPC, P-FMEA, statistical methods, and root cause analysis to reduce variation and improve process capability.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve process documentation including WI, WPS, BOM, Routing, and P-FMEA.
  • Lead process qualification and production trials for new products, materials, tooling, consumables, equipment, and process changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects focusing on yield improvement, cycle-time reduction, cost saving, and process capability.
  • Develop and qualify alternative materials, tooling, consumables, and equipment to improve cost and supply continuity.
  • Support NPI and new process development, including process trials, qualification, and production ramp-up.
  • Design and improve simple jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support manufacturing processes.
  • Train Operators and Technicians on process requirements, equipment operation, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
  • Support investigation and corrective actions for customer complaints related to engineering/process issues.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering/science disciplines.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering, preferably within optics, precision manufacturing, or other highly technical manufacturing environments.
  • Experience or technical knowledge in Thin Film / Optical Coating processes is highly preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience in process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and manufacturing process improvement.
  • Knowledge of SPC, P-FMEA, process capability, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with process qualification, DOE/trials, yield improvement, and cost reduction is preferred.
  • Experience designing basic jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing tooling.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a hands-on manufacturing mindset.
  • Good English communication skills; Mandarin is an advantage.

  • Working location: 2A – 1.F1, Tran Phu Street, Nhon Trach I Industrial Park, Nhon Trach Ward, Dong Nai City, Vietnam
  • Working hours: 40 hours/ week (Mon-Fri)
  • Shuttle buses are provided
