Responsibilities
Recruit and nurture talents into high-performing teams
Lead Key Business Outcome / Initiatives. Accountable for multiple large scale key results
Lead a team of software engineers to ensure execution and unlock creativity
Lead and contribute to development of company objectives and long-term strategy of the services
Establish strong partnership with engineering teams worldwide, represent team in global communication with concise communication, strong commitment and win-win mindset
Analyse, learn and extend product vision by collaborating with all the stakeholders
Lead and work with Architects to build technical solutions
Provide leadership to achieve high standards of done in areas of quality, security, scalability, user experience
Research and prototype new ideas, technologies and patterns relating to the task
Communicate the status of the project to stakeholders
Manage the unknowns and help teams manage through the uncertainties
Enhance engineering efficiency, observing the team, identifying opportunities, and influencing the improvement
Passionate about customer success
Assist in promoting best practices of leveraging AI to increase productivity within and outside the team
Minimum Qualifications
10-14 years of hands-on experience in the industry involving designing and developing platform components, cloud scale and highly available server applications and services
4+ years of experience in leading, mentoring, people management and managing development teams, or other similar leadership roles
Hands-on experience on React, Typescript, Java, Spring boot, or any of the Web & Cloud technologies
Hands-on experience with AWS services such as SQS, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda, etc
Hands-on experience of developing RESTful web services and integrating the same with heterogeneous clients
Hands-on experience with Relational and NoSQL database technologies e.g. MySQL, DynamoDB
Hands-on experience with Build and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker
Experience in hiring key talent and setting up teams for success
Familiarity with the software development process, including specification, quality assurance, and documentation
Experience working with product management on goals alignment and risks measurement
Excellent communication skills, ability to state complex subjects simply for a variety of audiences
Experience managing geo distributed teams across different time zones.
Self-starter who can come up to speed quickly and identify the problems that need to be solved
Experience and well-verse in leading in an Agile development environment. Certification in Agile Methodologies or related training an advantage
