Senior Packaging Engineering Program Manager
The Devices & Services Experience Design (DxD) team leads user experience and industrial design innovation across Amazon's device portfolio, including Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, Alexa.com, and related mobile apps. The Senior Packaging Engineering Program Manager drives the strategic vision and execution of packaging UX and design excellence across our devices portfoliospanning new product launches and sustaining programs. This role owns the end-to-end packaging plan, including schedule creation, structural design development and approval, testing, and coordination of validation builds, aligning inter-disciplinary teams to ensure packaging structure and artwork meet global launch dates. Additional responsibilities include Bill of Material (BOM) management, compliance oversight, and Print On Demand (POD) labeling design and production.
Beyond execution, this role serves as a strategic partner to senior leadershipdriving closure on ambiguous, high-impact trade-offs and ensuring packaging strategy is integrated with broader product and business objectives. The ideal candidate invents and simplifiesrelentlessly eliminating complexity, challenging legacy processes, and architecting scalable solutions that raise the bar globally. This role demands a bias for action paired with long-term strategic thinking: delivering today's launches while building the mechanisms that accelerate tomorrow's.
Working closely with global, cross-functional partnersincluding Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Marketing, Legal/Compliance, Operations, and Hardware Technical Program Managersthe Senior Packaging Engineering Program Manager influences at all levels from concept through production. Success requires earning trust with senior leaders, navigating organizational complexity, and driving alignment across competing priorities to deliver results at scale.
