Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will join Hong Kong-based optical product development team and lead development of high-speed fiber-optic transceiver and optical sensor products
Drives the program execution proactively across all related function groups
Work with platform program manager planning and managing new product development projects from conception through transfer to manufacturing, including management of the product development process, time-integrated planning for qualification and customer sampling, and transfer to production
Embeds program management best practices, including Risk Upfront, within the Platform.
Ensure the quality of the deliverables of the program using Lumentum’s PDP (Product Development Process) check list as a reference.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher. Preferred field(s) of study: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, Optical Engineering or equivalent
5 years project management experience in fiber-optic communications, optoelectronics packaging or related disciplines is a must
Excellent communication and leadership skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration. Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Fluent in English and Mandarin
Ability to work in a dynamic environment that requires critical thinking and strong analytical skills
Travel to Dongguan (2-3 days/week) and oversee (Thailand) manufacturing site as needed
