Program Overview
Our Design and Construction Engineering Progression Program offers a structured career path for engineering professionals at three levels: Engineering Intern, Engineer, and Senior Engineer. The program is a flexible hybrid role with a standard 35‑hour week. Participants receive hands‑on project involvement, mentorship, and exposure to a wide range of capital projects including water supply, wastewater, waste management, and transportation infrastructure.
Engineering Intern
Compensation: $83,556.20 - $104,431.60 annually
Responsibilities: Support small‑scale projects and components of larger projects by assisting with planning, design, and management under senior staff supervision. Prepare contract drawings, support property transactions, and provide technical assistance on construction sites. Ideal for recent graduates pursuing registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
Qualifications:
Engineer
Compensation: $102,130.20 - $127,654.80 annually
Responsibilities: Independently manage medium‑size projects and support senior engineers on more complex initiatives. Design capital projects, manage budgets, direct technical staff, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
Senior Engineer
Compensation: $112,330.40 - $140,413.00 annually
Responsibilities: Independently lead high‑profile, large‑scale projects. Supervise multidisciplinary teams, engage in high‑level negotiations, and resolve complex project issues.
