Join our project team in a 12‑month full‑time contract role building software products for our Real Estate clientele.

What you’ll be doing

The Senior Engineer will design and deliver full‑stack technical solutions that meet business requirements across front‑end and back‑end systems. They will embody Reapit's core values of Trust, Collaboration, Innovation, Excellence, and People.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Requirement Analysis: Collaborate across departments, analyze technical requirements, conduct research, and estimate effort.

System Design: Develop technical designs meeting business requirements and architectural standards, ensuring security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Implementation: Actively write code, participate in code reviews, apply AI‑enabled development tools, and deliver quality solutions.

Testing and Validation: Perform rigorous testing and validation of solutions.

Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate documentation for projects.

Project Delivery: Participate in agile ceremonies, deliver projects on time, and maintain quality standards.

Maintenance and Continuous Improvement: Provide technical guidance, support team members, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Incident Management: Contribute to incident investigation and resolution with clear stakeholder communication.

Who we’re looking for

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years in software development with strong full‑stack experience in TypeScript.
• Experience designing and building modern front‑end applications with React and TypeScript, plus backend APIs and services (Java, Kotlin, .NET, or similar).
• Experience working with distributed teams.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in TypeScript and React for scalable web applications.
• Experience building backend APIs and services using Node.js, Java, Kotlin, .NET, or similar.
• Experience with testing methodologies across the stack, including unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and build tools.
• Exposure to public cloud platforms (preferably AWS), containerisation, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Experience in agentic AI development focused on developer productivity.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, clean code practices, and maintainable architecture.

What your impact and success looks like

Within 1 month: Contribute to small work items, participate in planning and estimation, and build relationships with the team and other departments.

Within 3 months: Demonstrate understanding of the product, contribute ideas for improvement, and support engineering standards and AI‑enabled workflows.

Within 6 months: Shape technical solutions, deliver complex work autonomously, participate in agile processes, and champion engineering quality and best practices.
