Etch Process Tech 1
The primary responsibility of this position is to operate precision etching equipment and meet production goals on a consistent basis. Team members in this position must adhere to environmental, health and safety standards.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Operate chemical etching equipment in accordance with operating procedures.
- Follow all written procedures and coordinate with process engineer when abnormal conditions are encountered.
- Participate in end of shift turnovers with ability to effectively communicate.
- Must operate equipment (for example, pumps, GLV's, filter presses, reactors, valves, pH probes, ovens, forklifts, etc) independently after initial training is complete.
- Responsible for understanding basic chemical reactions and proper handling of chemicals within the work area.
- Responsible for handling and processing hazardous waste as required within the work area.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawing.
- Operate precision inspection equipment and record results.
- At times may be required to wear hearing protection, and half-mask respirator, and other forms of PPE.
- Support other production areas and departments as needed to meet company-wide goals.
