We are seeking a mid-level ETL Developer / Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in data engineering and ETL development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data movement, transformation, integration, and data quality, with the ability to work across multiple systems and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for enterprise data environments.
- Extract, transform, and load data from multiple systems while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Analyze source and target systems to understand data structures, relationships, data flows, and data contracts.
- Work across multiple applications and technologies to understand how data is exchanged and consumed between systems.
- Develop data transformations and integration processes using appropriate programming languages and data technologies.
- Implement and improve automated data quality controls, validations, and monitoring processes.
- Identify data quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement automated solutions to prevent recurring problems.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Support troubleshooting and performance optimization of existing ETL/data pipelines.
- Document data flows, transformation logic, interfaces, and data contracts.
- Contribute to automation initiatives that improve the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of data processes.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in ETL Development, Data Engineering, or a closely related data role.
- Strong hands-on experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Strong understanding of data structures, data transformation, data modeling, and data movement across systems.
- Experience working with multiple programming or scripting languages such as Python, SQL, Java, or similar.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and/or enterprise data platforms.
- Ability to understand how systems interact and how data contracts, schemas, interfaces, and dependencies are structured across applications.
- Experience implementing or supporting data quality checks, validation, reconciliation, and monitoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern data engineering platforms and cloud environments.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Talend, SSIS, or similar.
- Experience with Python and/or other programming languages used for data engineering.
- Java awareness is preferred; deep Java development expertise is not required.
- Experience automating data quality controls and data validation processes.
- Exposure to Data Science, Machine Learning, or analytics environments.
- Experience working with APIs, data contracts, microservices, or distributed systems is a plus.
