Event Programming Float (Part Time)

The Event/Programming Float position supports programming across all Resident Services areas (including, but not limited to employment/workforce development, health and wellness, early childhood and youth programming, digital opportunity, elderly and disabled programming, and resident/community meetings). The Float will work collaboratively with Resident Services staff and community partners to ensure all residents are made aware of programming and to provide coverage to support evening and weekend programming opportunities.

The Float will also support the Reach Opportunity Center, by providing front desk coverage (as needed) and assisting with programming at the Center (providing coverage, prepping materials, picking up and/or delivering supplies etc.). This position provides both administrative and direct program support to advance AMHA's mission of helping residents achieve greater economic independence and improved quality of life.

This is a part-time position (up to 20 hours per week), candidates must have a flexible schedule to be available for evening and weekend events. The Float will be provided a monthly calendar of open events/coverage needs, and other events will be offered to work as they arise throughout the month.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with creating and printing flyers and other materials, as needed.
  • Goes into AMHA developments/communities, sharing flyers door to door.
  • Receives and directs visitors when covering the front desk at the Reach Opportunity Center.
  • Answers phones, takes messages, and answers routine questions.
  • Submits receipts and paperwork to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
  • Provides evening and weekend coverage for events. Follows AMHA security and access expectations.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience using Microsoft Office/365. Must have valid Ohio driver's license and the ability to drive and transport supplies for work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to maintain a stationary position, operate computers and other office equipment, move about the office, attend onsite and offsite meetings, and communicate. The employee must be able to accurately exchange information in person, in writing and via e-mail and telephone and occasionally transport up to 50 pounds.
