We are hiring a Executive Director for Nova SBE Westmont Institute of Tourism & Hospitality.
The Nova SBE Westmont Institute of Tourism & Hospitality is a hub for current and future leaders seeking to drive impact through the principles of hospitality, whether in any industry. Our institute is a partnership between Nova School of Business and Economics, a leading business school, and the Westmont Hospitality Group, a well-recognized organization in the hospitality industry. We offer top-ranked educational programs from master’s to executive levels, which focus on elevating industry qualifications and accelerating sustainability performance. These programs are backed by the expertise of renowned academic specialists and key business partners, positioning us as the gateway to the future of hospitality and tourism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Academic Director to define the Institute's vision and strategic priorities;
- Engage closely with commercial organisations in Portugal and internationally to attract support for the work of the Institute;
- Think creatively to develop a culture of hospitality and customer-centricity internally and across partner organisations;
- Develop and deliver impact projects across the key pillars of the Institute;
- Ensure the sustainable growth and continuous development of the Institute;
- Promote the Institute as an international centre of excellence in Tourism and Hospitality;
- Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with academic institutions, companies, and other relevant stakeholders;
- Contribute to enhancing the Institute's international reputation and visibility;
- Ensure good governance of the Institute
Qualifications & Profile:
- Master's degree or equivalent in Hospitality, Tourism, Management, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or a related field;
- Proven experience in management in academia, hospitality, tourism or relevant industries.
- Strong and demonstrated interest in teaching, research and impact;
- Familiarity with research funding mechanisms, philanthropy or foundations is an advantage;
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
